Ryan and Debrah Ruff know heartbreak all too well. Ryan has learned: “It’s not about how much faith we have; it’s about believing who God is and that He’ll do what He says He’ll do. And what does God say He’ll do? He says He’ll stick closer than a brother; He says He’s near to the brokenhearted; and He says that He is good.”
In 2005, Lisa Jackson and her housemates asked themselves how they can practically serve their neighborhood. Out of this one question, the Halloween outreach was born. “It’s been a blessing,” Lisa said. “I lived with those girls for a while, but then being involved in house church, being involved in the Apex community in Belmont has been a huge blessing because people bought into the idea of serving the community.
